to my opinion in therm of bassplaying Jeff is the most advanced harmonically ,and since about 30 years! wich make him being one of the few greatest musicians of this era.
he's a true huge school by himself and I learned so much listening to him . . he 's the exemple for all of us bassplayers that what should be a BASSPLAYER , I mean always tight , highly precis and tasty AS MUCH IN THE GROOVES AND BASS LINES AS IN THE SOLOING PART. no matter what style you're playing , he's without a doubt one of the musicians you can't avoid to listen to.
