厄瓜多尔吉他演奏家Francisco J. Burgos :有曲谱、解说、视频。
"........a thoughtful and serious musician". The New York Times
Francisco J. Burgos was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He studied Classical guitar with Demetrio Ballesteros at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Madrid, Spain where he graduated in 1979 with Honors. That same year he made his New York City Classical Guitar debut Concert at Carnegie Recital Hall. While in Spain, where he lived for 11 years, he enrolled in master classes given by guitarists Jose Tomas, Jose Luis Rodrigo as well as private instruction with ancient music guitarist Jorge Fresno. From 1981 to 1982 he took classes at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. He has lived in USA since 1986. While living in USA he has given many concerts to critical acclaim. He has performed in main venues such as the Organizations of American States in Washington, D.C., the Americas Society in New York City, Gusman Performing Arts Center, Miami, Florida, Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Fort Lauderdale, FL and throughout USA Amongst many other venues. He has numerous presentations to his credits in Radio and Television in USA and abroad. As a teacher he has taught Classical Guitar at the Avila Conservatory, Avila, Spain and at Glassboro State College in New Jersey and has been invited by several universities for concerts and to offer master classes, lectures and residencies. In addition to performing music by other composers he also performs his own compositions. Three of his compositions are included in his CD “Rhapsody”. His most immediate project, to be completed soon, is an instructional video (DVD) for learning how to play classical guitar. The video will have 43 original lessons and 15 pieces by various composers like Bach, Tarrega, Carulli, Sor, etc. plus several original compositions by Francisco Burgos. Some of the lessons will be posted on his web site soon as a streaming video. The idea behind this web site is to create an interactive space for any body interested in the different aspects of the classical guitar: from interpretation to compositions. A forum will be provided soon for the exchange of ideas. If you would like to be on Francisco Burgos’s mailing list to be notified about when the DVD is available you can send an e-mail to Francisco Burgos. |
