You might remember Sky, the group John Williams formed in the 1970's.
He said that the "point" of the group was to show that the world of music in all its facets shares a lot of common values. So a guitarist studying classical music needn't and shouldn't lose touch with other styles and genres.
He used an Ovation nylon string because it could be amplified and heard over the drums without feedback. He commented that it was a very even guitar, and would be a good solution for amplifying a guitar sufficiently to play with a large orchestra. On "The Height Below" he played electric guitar - a Gibson Les Paul I think. No distortion was used and it sounds as if he may have recorded direct into the mixing desk, the sound is so clean. Beautiful tones!
One side of the LP was the "Emperor Nero Suite" by Brian Gascoigne and the second side had a tune "Sans Souci" written for the project by the producer George Martin of Beatles fame!). 帅呆了!~ Ovation是什么意思啊 Ovation nylon string 是什么样的弦？不知道。 我猜可能是Ovation的一款装伲龙弦的电箱琴吧/ Ovation 是美国著名品牌GUITAR,有钢弦与尼龙弦GUITAR之分,从1000美元起价的至几千元的都有,琴体以碳化核物制成,被板多以拱型为主(又成雷达型),面版也有多达10几个原状型音孔,很有特点! 哦。原来是这样。http://www.ovationguitars.com/ 弹民谣的，对Ovation这个名字太熟悉了。国内一般买到的应该是韩国出产的Ovation。 我以前干活的时候弹过他们的东西 以下是引用自由气体在2005-01-28 22:55:32的发言：

弹的哪曲？ 这个乐团也有一些古典作品,被改为现代乐进行演奏,可看这盘带"JOHN WILLIAMS&SKY LIVE CONCERT"是1987年12月24日出版物!他换了几个不同牌子GUITAR演奏,还有二重奏与电GUITAR!在那个年代是相当不错的! 昨日,看一下录像带,片长大约有150多分钟,就是有一些不太清晰了,这盘带老了! 能否上载一些片段？ 这个是录像带,不知如何上传?需要转成DVD,VCD,不知国内什么地方可转换? 是不是只能DV翻拍？ Ovation是好东西，但美产的有些贵。 wgc到很多照相店里可以转成VCD 照相店? 对的啊，我楼下的照相店就可以。或者你到结婚庆典录象 那种店也可以。你的是VHS带还是DV带？ 忘了，我就把好几个摘开串起来弹得 VHS,是一是,我的附近地区没有结婚庆典录象 那种店!
