常规的400系列都是以Ovangkol作为背侧材料，Taylor 2013春季限量款，背侧选用Granadillo，这是一种产自南美的珍贵木材，其生长周期需要300年以上，它的音色与玫瑰木相似。Granadillo有着印度玫瑰木的温暖音调，又兼具明亮，清晰，延音绵长的声音特质。Sitka云杉面板能带来温暖、饱满的中音和厚实的低音，它和Ovangkol组合在一起，不仅具有听觉上的悦耳还兼有视觉上的美观。
