欣赏一把精致手绘的 DIY LP 制作过程

一个在 美国 New Mexico 叫 Kuro Uma 的老外做的 :
它定制的琴体和颈，为了浅色底，全是 maple :

主题是纹身 : Prismacolor Illustration Markers. Basically alcohol based dye in a marker. I found a used set of 60 on Ebay. I really only sealed the natural masked edges. It seems just a perfect amount of dye comes out as you draw. I really didn't do anything to stop bleeding. It even has a colorless marker for blending colors. To really saturate and area you would have to continually go over and over it again. Bleeding wasn't a problem at all. The fine lines are black ink and the white is thinned enamel to soak into the wood

First off. I will likely do any art on fretboards BEFORE the frets are installed from now on. It was a challenge. I'm not 100% happy with how it came out because of that but it is what it is.

To start I wanted those Luminlay glowing side dots to be part of the markers. I marked out where they should go and punched them.

All of the lines and straight edges are a little shaky and not to my liking but I've found I can straighten them all with a razor nicely.
I plan on going back after all the art in on and defining clear straight lines. For now forgive the unevenness of some of the lines. I will clean it up I promise.
The effect I want to achieve is the false binding on the neck and headstock to go with the body.

I wanted an angel and a demon with the Sistine Chapel Adam/God hands in the center. Here it so far:

I still have a lot to do to make this look acceptable, But it's getting there. There is no sealer to help bring out the image as I'm not done with the images.
Once I have this done I'll be moving on to the headstock.

作者说 颜色部分是用现成的设计师用那种 marker 色笔直接油在木上，省的调色了。

插播個雕面 SG : Norse SG by Hutchinson Guitar Concepts. The central piece is a detailed carving of Odin with his two ravens Huginn and Muninn, and at his feet his two wolves Geri and Freki. The 3rd and 12th fret positions feature a metal runic inlay and a Valknut symbol respectively. And it features our Black Winter pickups because, well, it's a perfect match, isn't it!
