前卫金属吉他手 Michael W.与Music Man 的邂逅

Michael W.
来自天津的吉他手，早年喜爱并深受Pink Floyd、Queen、Metallica等乐队的影响，在新金属盛行的年代成长，喜欢听Linkin Park、Slipknot、System of A Down等乐队的音乐。那时Michael还没有特别专注于弹吉他，吉他在生命中还是可有可无的状态，而听音乐是他生活的重心。

而后Michael开始着迷于力量/交响金属和前卫金属音乐，喜欢听Dream Theater、Angra、Rhapsody，Symphony X等乐队，生活的重心开始转移到刻苦练琴，在2010年底开始刻苦研习电吉他演奏，并逐渐的寻找到了自己喜欢演奏的音乐风格。

曾翻弹过很多前卫金属作品，并与钟爱金属混音的搭档ODollgy花了一年多的时间重新制作了前卫金属乐队Between the Buried and Me 2007年的经典唱片《Colors》，于2013年8月20日发型于网络，在2017年5月21日Polyphia北京演出作为暖场曲目从头到尾由Michael W.演绎。

Michael和搭档在制作翻弹作品期间积累了大量的录音室制作经验，并于2017年四月创作并录制完成个人的第一张前卫音乐风格ep《April》，ep中的三首歌曲各自独立又有着紧密的关联，有着戏剧性的转折。

作为梦剧院 John Petrucci 铁粉和国内一批 Music Man Majesty 吉他的用户，Michael.W 在2017年山姆仕乐器购买了两支新款的Music Man 吉他（JP15-7和JP16），新EP中的曲目也是使用 Music Man 吉他演奏的。
