刘恒自幼随父亲刘亚光（西安音乐学院教授）学习打击乐，于2005年考入中央音乐学院，先后师从刘刚教授、李飚教授，获得学士、硕士学位，现任职于中国国家大剧院管弦乐团。

在丰富的演出经历外，刘恒更致力于打击乐曲目的创作与改编，还为乐曲加以演唱及和声，除了传统的打击乐独奏、重奏外，刘恒还将打击乐与电子音乐相结合，为打击乐开辟了更新的一片音乐领域。

桑巴唐是中国唯一的一支巴西桑巴打击乐和舞蹈的表演、教学团体，成立于2006年5月，小勇作为桑巴唐的领队和创始人之一，他带领着桑巴唐参加各种规模的商演及节目录制，并多次与崔健合作演出和MV拍摄。

小勇从05年开始跟随美国打击乐艺术家Jimmy Biala和巴西打击乐大师Jorge Alabe学习桑巴打击乐，并成为桑巴亚鼻祖Jimmy Biala的入室大弟子，小勇认为桑巴是快乐、有力、纯真的，因此他致力于用桑巴带给人们激情和快乐，用独特的教授方法打开人们本有的音乐能力，产生对身心局限的突破和认知，使人们用节奏带来美好，愉悦自己并分享给他人。
