帕肯宁新出版的自传"雅若河水" (Grace Like A River)
我最近读了Christopher Parkening新出版的自传Grace Like A River (附一张CD). 感触很多. 在书中, 他描绘了小时候在父亲的严格督促下成为"弹琴机器"的艰辛历程, 在启蒙老师Celedonio Romero的指导下和和Pepe Romero等共同学琴竞争的有趣经历, 对吉他训练和解决难题的详尽经验, 做为音乐会演奏家的忙碌紧张的生活, 在各种录音室录音的经验, 比赛的经验, 选琴的经验, 在音乐学院的教学, 他和Andres Segovia如父子般的深厚感情, 和其他著名吉他人物的交往, 他的两次婚姻, 生活, 钓鱼爱好和心理历程等等. 这位性格敏感, 天生喜欢安静的吉他演奏家曾经一年安排90多场演出, 其奋斗目标是想能够三十岁退休, 然后带着他那把Jose Ramirez吉他去某个与世隔绝的河边隐居, 为自己弹弹琴, 钓钓鱼......我觉得这本书的内容对国内的朋友有帮助, 如果大家感兴趣, 我可以有空的时间分段写一些. 大家觉得如何?

对, 他一家都是, 包括他现在的太太, 他得过美国西部钓鱼大赛的亚军和国际钓鱼比赛的冠军. 有次捉鱼还差点淹死.....

废话:我也喜欢钓鱼,可惜中国大地刺激的野钓地方越来越少了."去某个与世隔绝的河边隐居, 为自己弹弹琴, 钓钓鱼......"他的心态和我怎么这么象啊!我也有条件做到这样,可惜老婆孩子不会去,只好和他们一起呆在乌烟瘴气的大城市奔忙了!每个人都是无可奈何的,也不可能有绝对的心灵自由!

这是Parkening的父亲从Parkening小时候学琴开始就提出的要求. 成名后的Parkening在大师班上也这么教过他的专业学生.
翻译过来就是:
"再弹, 要完美无缺地弹七遍! 如果你以后没能进入世界上弹的最好的前四, 五名之内, 这个乐器(古典吉他)会让你饿死. " 呵呵

CP的生日是1947年12月14日, 比Pepe Romero小3岁.
AS, JW, CP, JB和NY就是那个时代最著名的世界大师. Pepe那个时候还不是大师. CP大学还没读完, 他就读的音乐学院就为他开了古典吉他专业, 请他当老师...老海(海菲兹)大家知道吧, 是他的同事. Segovia给他写推荐信时, 说他和JW是自己最出色的学生, 在那次著名的Segovia主持的吉他大赛中, 因为Parkening因故未参加(当了评委), Segovia最后把大奖空缺, 因为他认为冠军的宝座只能属于Parkening.
Parkening靠演出发了财, 很年轻时由于宗教, 性格, 家庭问题就退休了, 去钓鱼.....
苏盟参加的那个比赛就是以Parkening命名的, 表彰他对吉他事业的贡献.
现在Parkening过了几十年复出(钱快花完了? ....要知道JB已经花完钱卖房子了....), 琴也丢了很久, 不过大师就是大师, 贝多芬已经死了, 不能再作曲了, 但他还是大师.
