Ayers越南工厂行（2）：木吉他的一切从木材出发
2008年11月19~22日，吉他中国应中国台湾木吉他品牌—Ayers邀请，参观访问了其位于越南边河的工厂，经过3天多的现场参观与采访，我们对于这个优秀的木吉他品牌有了更深的了解，也希望通过吉他中国的窗口，陆续推出关于Ayers木吉他的采访与报道文章，我们将分为：手工木吉他全接触（上）（下）、ayers吉他细节感受、Ayers吉他的木材贮备和Ayers视频4个大部分来介绍Ayers，使喜欢木吉他的朋友了解木吉他的生产过程，也了解优质手工木吉他的诞生过程，也更深的了解可能是目前华人世界最好的木吉他品牌之一——Ayers！
今天我们来谈谈Ayers的吉他木材。
Ayers目前所使用的木料来源涵盖全世界各地，其中包含印度玫瑰木、非洲红桃、德国枫木、德国云杉、夏威夷相思木、越南玫瑰木、越南银叶木、北美胡桃木等，就连用于制作音梁的杉木都远从加拿大进口，使用木材的广泛不胜枚举。另外Ayers也不定时的采用稀有的罕见木材制做特殊订制吉他。
在Ayers工厂，我们在工作人员的引领下，见到了大量储备的高级原木木材（以美国、加拿大、欧洲等地进口高级原木为主），而制作吉他使用原木皆经过最少1年6个月以上之干燥处理才得以使用，包括长时间的自然干燥以及专业的干燥房处理。Ayers对于木材的干燥度极为严格，从原木进口后开始采用最消耗材料的1/4裁切法（这样能保证好木料的最大完整性当然也是最耗费边角料的方法），裁切到适当大小，然后每块板材在正式成为吉他原料前都经过超过5年的自然存放，确保木材含水量低于6%的状态才能进行加工，以确保制作吉他的音色及耐用度。
好的木材使得吉他表现出亮丽的音色，不同选材的木头表现出不同特性。Ayers吉他选用A级至AAAA木材来制作高品质吉他，Ayers进口木材都经过1到1年半的风干，并接着以烘干处理，这些过程都是为了让吉他防止破裂并提供最佳的音色。
只有最好的制琴师将最好的吉他使用最高品质的漆：Ayer吉他坚持使用PU (Polyurethane)来做为薄漆料，而不是一般使用机器生产工厂的PE (Polyethylene)。只有这个方式才可以让吉他拥有最好音色。越薄越好——无论是平光(雾面)或亮光(亮面)的吉他都必须使用薄漆，唯有如此，才可以使声音传达的更完整，Ayer吉他在上漆时坚持使用越薄越好的原则。
结合越南人民之精细手工技巧与其精湛制琴技术，不但诞生了Ayers吉他在市场上的优越性，并且奠定了世界上新崛起的著名的高品质“全单板手工木吉他”地位。
