THE CURE-ROBERT SMITH 效果器研究参考集

一直很崇拜THE CURE的效果器，那种合唱又有些钟声在里面的感觉，所以自己在网上找到的一些关于THE CURE的效果器资料图片，希望对大家有所帮助。

有一种简单的方法：

boss bf 2 Flanger (now replaced by the BF-3 but easy to find on the second hand market). The settings were manual 60%, Depth 75%, Rate 50% and Res 25%.

boss dd3 Delay: all knobs more or less at 50%.

boss rv3  Reverb (discontinued too and replaced by the RV-5): balance 25%, tone 30%, r.time 40%, mode 10.

在上面列表中，BF2是一个非常关键的块，在很多时候，朋友们可能很难在FLANGER和CHORUS中做选择。但是FLANGER是一个很有用的块。其实这两个效果器原件基本相同，声音也有一定共同点，只不过是电路构造有些不同。

结合上图从右边到左边开始

From right to left :

• Pedal n° 1 : Unidentified Overdrive... we can't see the knobs...
• Pedal n° 2 : Another Overdrive or Distortion (thanks to the light show, it's impossible to say it's yellow or orange). Apparently, we get a DS-2 Turbo Distortion or OD-2 (or again OD-2r) Turbo Overdrive. It could also be a DF-2 Distortion Feedbacker, but I don't believe it (otherwise Robert would use it at 30%). All are settled according to the 12 'o clock system (very simple, isn't it ?) except for the last knob which is put at 10 'o clock.

(ADDITIVE NOTE EDIT : I'm more comfortable with the idea of an orange pedal, so a distorsion : DS-2, or DF-2, but definately not a DS-1, because it's a 4 knobs model (which a DS-1 is not).

• Pedal n° 3 : PH-2 Super Phaser.
• Pedal n° 4 : CE-5 Chorus Ensemble - all on 12 o' clock, except for the "Filter high/low" double knob, but my eyes can't see the right position... I'm a little bit surprised by these choices, the chorus sound of The Cure being (since now) high on Depth. Moreover, in an interview of Smith (that i do not find back) we can learn there is always a second chorus pedal glued on the amplifier... this point confirms my ears (I mean the sound of Cure is made of double chorusing...).
• Pedal n° 5 : BD-2 Blues Driver.
• Pedal n° 6 : LS-2 Line Selector (Used as a power supply for all the family) settled on"A <-> B" loops position (with 50 % of volume for each loop).

The thing is well packed in the BCB-6 suitcase...
