I am a student in Toronto, Canada. My friend Dr. Adalet in the McGill University has been studying for accient music for many years. She as well as other schoolars in this field has a common reconition in terms of the history of flamenco music and dance. The history of Flamenco is not that simple. In fact, saying that traditional flamenco music comes from gypsies are a piece of untrue information. If we do have to tag a geography timelime under the history, Arabics are the ones who invented flamenco. The gypies, who were Indians back then, just simplly brougt flamenco to the Egypt( which is why they were called Gipsies), then Eurorpe. Flemenco were allowed as a widely accepted form of music because Arabics themselves where the ones who ruled Spain before the Spain civil war.
p.s. Allways let the history speek for herself. |
