Let me say that I believe that there is not(no) such (a) thing as(that) who is the best performer of any particular piece(s). In my modest opinion, Musical (music) competition, in(for) our instruments known as (Guitar competition) is not the best way to find out who is the best guitar player around ( ). The most complete(? all-rounded?) musician is (that) the one that( ) can communicate with his audience instead of playing a vast and complicated repertoire ---from all musical times-----. I like David Russel('s) version of Recuerdos de la Alhambra from the CD Tarrega Integral de Guitarra, I can hear all the notes of the tremolo going(go) so fast and perfect, while the melody stand(s) slow(ly) and romantic. David plays(played) this one with an incredible feeling of lost and sadness (which is) very occasional for this masterpiece. I also like the way Sharon I--in played Recuerdos, even when( ) I don't like her playing (she played) other pieces but I really like the way she does(did) with(in) Recuerdos. Just adding some other( ) guys to(on) the list so(that) maybe you can(will) agree that there is not(no) a(the) best performer of any particular piece. All musician(s) will( ) express their feelings in different ways, (it) is not a(the) matter of who is the best, but who is the best one related to your own way of hearing and feeling (on) music.

I think you see the point from the view of audience rather than a player. For those who intend to master guitar playing, the man regarded as the best performer is a target for them to imitate and learn. |
