Assuming this is the sample diagram in that video:

Basically [1][2][3] are good and [4][5][6] are bad. The instructor perfers something between [1] and [2]
[1] when the nail moves cross string: rapid move, less tring noise
[2] I didn't hear a lto comments, imo, similar to [1]
[3] popular for finger "a" for melody, clear sound
[4] bad, high brittle piercing sound because the way nail slide on the nail and the final hit point
[5] bad, nail too round, will generate string noise and dark tone
[6] obviously bad example, no one applies this. |
