Dear Friends,
Guitar Art Festival represents a professional and expert event that gathers all kinds of classical guitarists: primary and secondary music school pupils, students, their teachers and professors, and eminent guests, leading world guitarists. We have planned many concerts, master classes and lectures, which offer our students and teachers a unique opportunity to improve and get advanced training.

MASTER CLASSES main hall in Music School “Mokranjac”, 6 Dečanska Street, Belgrade
Master classes, individual and group, will be held for all participants (pupils, students and teachers) by Yugoslav, as well as international professors.

Category I: Candidates born in 1988 or younger
First stage: April 3, Music School «Mokranjac»
Two or more compositions different in style and character, up to 10 minutes.
Second stage: April 5, National Museum Foyer
Two or more compostions, different in style and character up to 15 minutes.
Category II: Candidates born in 1984 or younger
First stage: April 3, Music School «Mokranjac»
Two or more compositions different in style and character, up to 15 minutes.
Second stage: April 5, National Museum Foyer
Two or more compostions, different in style and character up to 20 minutes.
Category III: Candidates born in 1973 or younger
First stage: April 3, Music School «Mokranjac»
Two or more compositions different in style and character, up to 20 minutes.
Second stage: April 5, National Museum Foyer
Two or more compostions, different in style and character up to 25 minutes.

I 200 Euro
II 150 Euro
III 100 Euro
Category II:
I 500 Euro
II 350 Euro
III 200 Euro
Category III:
I guitar (a hand-made guitar, work of Milan Sabljić and Branislav Marković, worth 1.500 Euro)
II 800 Euro
III 400 Euro
Note:
There is possibility for more awards, such as participation free of charge at the Volos Festival in Greece or Sinaia Festival in Romania.
The prizes expressed in Euro are actually the value of products to be given away by the sponsor of this competition: L.S. Pro Music (Yamaha Instruments).
Notes:
* A jury consisting of 4-5 members (performers, participating in the festival) will follow the competition and decide on the awards
* The competition is public
* The decisions of the Jury are final
* The order of appearance of the candidates will be arranged in alphabetical order and will be announced at the beginning of the festival
* The candidates must perform the compositions from memory
* Three to five most successful candidates from all categories (I, II and III) who past the first stage will continue to compete in the second stage (finals)
PARTICIPATION – RULES, ACCOMODATION:
1. The dead line for submission of applications is March 20 2003
2. The candidates are obliged to submit the following documents:
- duly completed application form
- a copy of birth certificate
- a photo
The application, together with the above listed documents, should be sent to the following address (until March 20 at the latest):

3. The registration fee for participants is 100 Euro (concerts and master classes) and 30 Euro for competition. Payment should be made in cash to Gitar Art festival foreign currency cash desk. (April 2 2003, 10:00 – 18:00, on the first day of the festival, Knez Mihailova 6/1, Belgrade).
4. In case of cancellation by the candidate, the registration fee cannot be reimbursed.
5. The participants bear the expenses of trip and room and board in Belgrade.
6. Accommodation is available in Hotel Balkan and Hotel Royal B category, located in the centre of Belgrade (bed and breakfast from10 to 15 Euro + 5 Euro per meal).
7. A special offer for teachers: the registration will be reduced 1/4 for every pupil/student that a teacher signs up.
8. Organizers of the Festival will provide free vizas for the participants.
