Dr. Scientist The ElementsThe Elements is an all new distortion generator from our mad friends at Dr. Scientist. Beginning with the renowned Cleanness, The Elements adds a unique blend of clipping and tone shaping for a distortion/fuzz pedal with more versatility than ever before. The Elements signal path starts with a buffer then goes into the Midrange control > bass limit toggle > gain stage > gain option toggle > second gain stage > Bass control > Treble control > output buffer. The unique placement of the Midrange control before the gain stages produces harmonically rich, thick midrange tones or a severe cut for that scooped, doom sound. The Gain toggle allows for switching between LED, asymmetrical silicon/LED, or no diodes for three distinct clipping options and the High Gain mode switches in the second gain stage for thunderous distortion and liquid, sustaining leads. The clean signal can also be blended with the distorted tone via the Mix knob. The Dr. Scientist Elements is built tough with a 4 layer PCB, an expression pedal jack (for controlling the blend), and soft touch true bypass relay switching.
