Pentatonic 里的“penta”在英文中有五的意思。 Pentatonic Scale就是由五个音符所组成的音阶。而小调五声音阶的组成音是1 3b 4 5 7b 1.Check out the diagram below.





我想,上面图形里的五声音阶指型大概是百分之九十以上的吉他手学的第一个音阶吧。

因为它的指型很整齐好记，而且音符的安排位置对一些吉他上的技巧像推弦， Hammer on/ Pull off， Slide都很方便，有数不清的吉他独奏都是从这个“ Box” 开始（ for example, “ Stairway toHeavens “ )

所以啦，熟悉这个音阶是很有益的。但熟悉并不光光是把它的Pattern背的滚瓜烂熟，我觉得更重要的是能了解它的”声音个性“

下面来跟大家介绍一个我自己常做的练习，说起来很简单，找一段五声音阶为主的音乐， 个人建议可以从Slow Blues 开始，当你听完一段Phrase后，先别急着用吉他”猜“。你所要做的是把刚听到的唱出来。My belief is that no matterwhat you want to learn, you got to be able to sing it first.如果唱不出来那就代表你对它的印像还不够深，再多听个几次吧。

下一步，一次一个音，试着想像它在指板上的位置，当你想完一段句子”Phrase” ( 我以后会仔细说明关于Phrase 的概念，by theway， “Phrasing” 跟＂Phrase” 指的是不同的事情。）其实你已经在脑中把这个句子给弹了一遍，整个过程有点像是把听到的转换成”看得见”的资讯。最后，拿起吉他弹弹看像不像原本听到的音乐。

这个练习刚开始时可能需要点耐心，自己的感觉是现在听到一段旋律，我就好像可以在心中“看见” 要怎么弹。 As long as it's not some supercomplicated or 200 note per second or in some scale that I am notvery familiar with。 Lol我相信只要能持之以恒，它会对你在音乐上有很多方面的提升的:)

ps. 当然你也可以用不同的音阶来做同样的练习。Be creative, come up with yourown exercise and listen!

  I just dont see the point why some parts is in Chinese and others in English.....
I recently found a blues backing track in A minor, great great way to memorize all the notes

I have 30 students and only 2 of them are Asians. It's much easier for me to explain things in English. Simple as that.
I would keep trying to type in Chinese as much as I can and personally I don't think it's an issue. after all it's all just music I am talking about and in reality some of the concepts and even terms are hard to translated. I included English in my article so hopefully things don't lost in translation.

huh.... my bad, I thought you are just another stupid ass wanna show off their English by copy/paste someone else's article, lol

Do you have a blog or something I can subscribe? Video tutorial certainly is the best way to teach those stuff
Can you speak in Mandarin?
Since you are here I assume you live in China?

哈哈哈, 习惯了用口语了, 在澳洲待久了语法拼写都退化了, 能交流就行

Hi all good man no hard feelings.

I've grew up in Taiwan and moved to New Zealand when I was 16.  For me with the tutorial I'd like to keep more about ideas and concepts which are a bit harder to come by on the net. There are probably tones of exercise and theory stuff out there anyway.

I am yet to get a QQ and will be cool to chat with guys there.

oh cool you in AKL too?

yeah I usually busk twice a week. Wed about midday and Fri evening. either gonna be outside of bolders or Mac Donald.
