<P><FONT color=black size=4 face=仿宋_GB2312>　　亨吉斯（Michael Hedges）1953年出生在美国加州的萨克拉门托，在俄克拉荷马州长大。大学专修古典吉他，之后在 Baltimore 的 Peabody 音乐学院取得作曲学位。1980年在斯坦福大学有名的电声音乐系深造。在帕洛阿图酒吧的演出中，他被威尔·阿克曼（Will Ackerman，唱片创始人）发现。同为吉他手的威尔·阿克曼（Will Ackerman）看了他的表演后惊喜不已，激动之余抓起一张餐巾纸签下了这位吉他大师。1981年，亨吉斯（Michael Hedges）以第一张专辑《Breakfast in the Field 在田野里吃早餐》初露头角，这张专辑也在一定程度上为80年代出现的 Windham Hill 音乐下了定义，有趣的是，任何期盼享受田园牧歌式夜晚的人，在参与了亨吉斯（Michael Hedges）的演奏会后多半会惊讶不已。在舞台上，他会一边跳舞一边甩着纠结的发辫(后来剔了光头)，有时还会一面拍打着巨大的塑胶球，一面不漏掉任何音符地弹奏出复杂的旋律，而你显然可以从生气勃发的“The Funky Avocado 胆战心惊的鳄梨树”中感受到这样的气氛。他在音乐上也是相当具有弹性的，他可以一面快乐地写出向法籍吉他手 Pierre Bensusan 致敬的作品“Bensusan 本苏珊”，同时翻奏 Madonna 和 Prince 的流行乐曲。对他来说，音乐就是欢乐与旋律的综合体。虽然迈克·亨吉斯（Michael Hedges）已在1997年加州孟德西诺郊外的车祸中离开了人世，然而他的音乐却不只在这张收录了十五首独奏作品与三首现场录音的选辑中获得重生，更在当代无数深受其影响的吉他手指间不断地被延续……</FONT></P>
