琴径和N4的琴颈木材一样，采用花梨木制造，永不变形，指板超薄手感好，弦低
不打品，音色温暖甜美，清音尤其突出。
Starfield是IBANEZ早期在美国打市场用的牌子，一共生产两年一年
美国次年日本，此琴是日本生产，其做工也不是现在的IBANEZ厂比
拟的所有配件也都是高档配件，木材一流，下边有清音试听，个

Made 1992 or 1993, Japan. Mahogany solid body, 22 fret rosewood fingerboard on maple bolt-through neck. 1 volume, 1 tone, 5-way selector switch. Two Starfield Vintage single coil pickups (neck & middle), one Starfield Vintage Humbucker at bridge.Magnum locking tuners, Starfield SF40 chrome tremolo. I have two of these, one See-Thru Red and one See Thru Grey though in some lights the grey looks very dark brown.
Sound:10
Rich spectrum of sound from mellow to very bright, many distintive sounds available by switching through the pickups and adjusting the tone control. Played direct through a Line6 Spider 212 and sometimes Vox Tonelab SE pedal/effects box. No dislikes with this guitar at all.
Action, Fit, & Finish:10
Both guitars restrung and set up perfectly by dealer (Custom Guitar, St Brieuc, France) on purchase. Action is very fast. No flaws.
Reliability/Durability:10
Whilst light and incredibly comfortable to play the guitar is ruggedly built. Have gigged with both and they seem immune to any amount of use. It's also great to have a virtually identical guitar as backup though I also gig with a Starfield Cabriolet SJ Ltd semi hollow body.

Starfield no longer exist but the dealer I bought these from is top notch. He got these in as part of a sponsorship deal with Breton guitarist Dan Ar Braz but when the company folded so did the deal. He has given his own 2 year warranty.

Also own the other Starfield mentioned above, Gibson Les Paul Special, US made '70's Fender Strat, Ibanez AS73, heaviliy customised Squier Strat (all that remains is the body), Squier Telecaster Custom, Yamaha 112, Takamine TAN106, Seagull S6-CW plus a couple of real clunkers.
Starfields are undoubtedly my favourite guitars - they play and sound superbly. It is a mystery to me why these never sold when in production. Compared them to a whole raft of other guitars: these are just right for me - to be honest, I could probably sell all the rest as nothing else seems to get touched much these days! I would never consider selling them and would be heartbroken if they were lost or stolen as they are virtually irreplaceable - a search on E-Bay brought up just three others worldwide and they were not this model. The Starfield trem is spot-on and the guitar never goes out of tune when used.
