Hi Guys,
There is one questions confused me and my friends a lot these days, as we all noticed that, there is a strong sweet smell melt into the air when we play Martin guitars, and most of us like it very much, i am also addicted to it, but no one can figure out where it come from. Some guys guess it come from the glue of hard case, while others guess it come from the sound hole of guitar, may be from the wood or from the glue or from the finish of the guitar.
Would you please kind enough to advise where the sweet smell come from? Many Martin guitar fans want to know this badly. Thanks in advance!
Thanks and best regards
Ryan

Hello Ryan,
Funny you should ask. We had an owner ask Chris Martin to develop a cologne that has the scent of our guitars. Our case manufacturer adds vanilla scent to their glue. Also, the aroma is a result of the wood, glue and polish utilized in the crafting. I provide tours of our factory, I always observe owners taking a deep breath when we hit the factory floor.
Best Regards,
Harry
