Fxxx Ibanez

It just something, that just dont let me sleep for a while: when i got the 2007 Ibanez catalog i realized, that at the AT300 specs it is written, that Andy has two DP187 Cruisers in the neck and middle potisiton, which is the bridge version (i dont understand, because it has less treble)...all the previous catalogs he had the DP186 neck models...
-----------
Also, back in 2005, I emailed Dimarzio to ask about the Cruisers in the AT300. Here's what Steve Blucher said: "The DP186 is used in both positions. They are side-by-side humbucking pickups, so reverse-polarity is not required..." That leads me to wonder if the DP186 was in fact used in the AT300 until recently, and they've switched to the DP187's for the current year, to match the pups in the earlier AT100
----------
Got bored so I pulled the neck off the AT300 to check the pickups - DP187s just like the AT100, and it's a first year build, so I would say that myth has been debunked. The DiMarzio rep may have told you (Bert) how the DP186 Cruiser is best used. Just my thoughts.
