The much maligned VAI/Earth graphic denotes the introduction of the Ibanez World Wood program dedicated to the increased utilization of sustainable hardwoods in guitar making. JS1200CA - The 1200 remains my pick for the sweetest JS. Edge Pro trem, Basswood body, rosewood fretboard, 6105 frets, PAF JOE neck and FRED bridge pickups, high pass and coil split push pull pots. $2399.99 List price [$266 increase], includes J Craft case.

  JS1600PSV - JS Prestige neck, Mahogany body, 6105 frets, Gotoh fixed bridge, PAF PRO neck and FRED bridge pickups. I forgot to pull the pots to check but I can't see why it won't have high pass and coil split push pull pots. The one difference from a JS6, besides the obvious color, is the new Ibanez locking tuners [I've been told these are possibly Planet Waves self cutting]. The paint is like a JS2000 in that it's doesn't look "metallic" but looks "textured" under the clear. Available in PSV [Premium Silver]. $2266.65 List price [$266 increase], includes J Craft case.

PGM20TH - Paul gets the most attention of any endorser this year, and he should as he celebrates his 20th Anniversary in collaboration with Ibanez. The PGM100 was Paul's first signature design, and a fitting reissue at a price that won't break the bank. In fact this is the most reasonably priced artist Anniversary model of all time, maybe Paul himself had something to do with that. Of course it gets the same modern improvements the other recent reissues have gotten. 1 piece Maple PGM Super Wizard Prestige neck, Basswood body, Jumbo frets on a rosewood board, Pearl sharkfin inlay, Original EDGE bridge, DiMarzio PAF Pro pickups with a FS-1T mid, old style plate joint as original using the current JS numbered plates. FIREMAN

PGMFRM1 - Long expected, Ibanez does produce a production version of Paul's latest custom guitar, nicknamed the Fireman. I believe this is the only Korina bodied guitar Ibanez has ever produced. It will be an extremely limited edition with 50 pieces total. 45 in SSS pickup arrangement [18 scheduled for HUSA] and 5 in HH that will be kept in the Japan market, probably to be sold by Lottery as they did with the PGM10th. These will be built by the same little Custom Shop that build the Artcore Twins and JSBDG's, and will come with the goodies shown [and described] in the last 2 pictures. 3 piece Korina/Bubinga neck, Ball bat thick at around 24-27mm, Korina body, Medium frets, Area 67 pickups, Gibraltar bridge. $9333.32 List Price.

EGEN18TVF ?The EGEN enjoyed a successful 2008 and returns unchanged. 5 piece E-Gen Prestige neck, mahogany body with flame maple top,  unique "Kung Fu" grip on the upper horn [a little too small for my hands though] Jumbo frets on a rosewood board with the last 4 scalloped, Edge Zero Custom bridge with special springs only on the E-Gen requiring a different backplate, very nice oval abalone inlays [which I requested they use more of to a few ears at the show], Gold hardware, and Dimarzio HLM [Herman Li Model] pickup set, neck bridge and mid, with one of the most versitile wiring schemes available shown here, all finished in TVF [Transparent Violet Flat]. The info tag was missing at the show, which is usually where I get the info from since this was a TBA, with everything else to do I missed getting it. I抣l have it posted soon. Sam Totman

STM1WH - Herman's partner in crime get's his own model and obviously he likes Icemans! Mahogany body, 5 piece maple/walnut Wizard II thru neck, 24 Jumbo frets [the only 24 fret Iceman I believe made to date, possibly why Gilbert has a new Iceman model in the works, I thought for himself but after seeing this it just may be for general release], Edge 3 trem, Dimarzio Evolution pickups with the bridge a zebra. Paul Gilbert

PGM401TFB - Paul gets the most attention of any endorser this year, and he should as he celebrates his 20th Anniversary in collaboration with Ibanez. Andy Timmons

AT100 - Andy was invited to play with the other major Ibanez endorsers at the Hoshino 100th Anniversary party in Japan. While he was there Ibanez approached him about bringing back the AT100 as a regular production model, and the timing was perfect. Andy absolutely loves his AT100 and it has been his main stage guitar for years, and was ready to commit to Ibanez again. With used ones selling for the current list price, this model should do very well for all. ORM1 - I must be really out of the loop because I had to do a Google search ;)  Very retro looking with the upper and lower tortoise pickguards. Mahogany body, 3 piece ORM 24" scale mahogany neck with 22 jumbo frets on a rosewood board, Gibraltar III bridge, single ACH-BL bridge pickup. Available in WH [White]. $666.65 List price. MTM1BK - The MTM1 returns with a new "color". 5 piece Wizard II thru neck, mahogany body, jumbo frets, fixed Edge FX bridge, Seymore Duncan Blackouts neck and bridge pickups, factory tuned to C# with a drop B tuning. The big changes to the RG Prestige series this year is the return of the Wizard neck, now called Super Wizard as it has the dual titanium [I've also heard graphite] stabilization bars running parallel to the truss rod, and the major return of maple as a fretboard wood.
RGT320ZRS - Unchanged from last year, the 320 remains as the only Japanese T model. SR7VIISC -  My pick for the coolest new instrument at the show, Ibanez continues it's innovation into multi string instruments but introducing a Bass/Guitar Hybrid 7 string based on the SoundGear platform. It's tuned to standard 6 string bass tuning B E A D G C but adds a high E, you can see how easily this can be changed to normal 7 string guitar tuning. It's 30" scale and narrower string spacing means you can play it like a guitar, or a bass. I actually ordered them!! The first bass , err, guitar? I'll be handling. Prestige and Made In Japan. MC30TH - It's been 30 years since Ibanez brought the Musician Series to the World, and they celebrate the milestone by releasing the most elaborate example they could. There were no specs listed, I didn't ask the details of how limited it would be, and at $10,666.65 it was the highest prices instrument in the booth. If anybody is seriously interested get ahold of me and I'll make sure to find out for you! But I'm really just showing it for eye candy.

These Customs show real promise in Chinese production. When I first saw them I swore the fretwork was J Custom. I'd think long and hard about actually stocking these guitars. The old adage "you get what you pay for" just might not apply to these models.

看好RG3570，准备收一把。另外图中的价格是为了最大限度保证琴行的销售利润而制定的厂商建议零售价，其实不是真实的销售价格，即使是在美国的乐器网站上实际价远远低于这个价格。要在中国国内的话价格会更便宜。图中的价格对普通琴友没有任何参考价值。

众多经典型号复刻了，Andy也回来Ibanez，真想什么时候Ibanez能再把John Petrucci拉回来，重新看到JPM系列靓丽的身影呢。
