Dear slashluo,
Ok let me tell you a little bit about the Framus guitars... what's special about them...
Take the Diablo Custom that Will is using above...
1) the wood that Framus are made of are some of the best wood available... the back of the Diablo is made of Swamp Ash imported direct from Florida where such Ash is only growing... it is the extra light type...both beautiful and musically a good wood. The top is flamed maple AAA... pretty nice one too... Just the 2 piece of wood to make the top cost USD 200.. this is the raw price, after you have taxes, custom duty and special wood treatment to make it perfect (about RMB 1700)... just this wood.... The neck is made in Ovangkol which is a very hard wood from Africa... the wood is chosen because it is hard (better sustain) and well sounding in the mid range... The fingerboard is made in Ebony (india)...
2) Pickups are Seymour Duncan pickups.... Truly the best pickups out there and not that cheap...2 humbuckers (Hot Rail, Jeff Beck trembucker) and 1 single coil (Vintage Staggered),
3) Bridge is Wilkinson tremolo type (US Brand)...
4)Machine heads are self locking machines head... no need to turn around 10 times to set up the strings.
5)The neck fixation is "Bolt-in" not "bolt-on" with a metal plate and 4 screw... you have 2 screw behind and 2 screw below the first pickups... first this is nicer, second this is more confortable when you play near the neck, and third the neck is more into the body which make a better connection between neck and body thus better sustain...
6)Electronic is a special design by MEC, with Splittable pick up and special arrangement with the switch... you can have the configuration type Fender Strat (s-s-s) or the configuration (h-s-h) with possibility to play the 2 humbuckers together,.... welll you can have a strat feeling AND a Les Paul feeling...
7) It is made by Warwick, in Germany with the same tools, by the same people, with the same good stuffs...
My best advice is try it.....
Nick
